Kaitlyn & Mike
...and their glowing spring wedding!

How did you two meet?
We met on Hinge, started talking in November of 2020 and then went on our first date in December, became official in Jan. I feel like I knew he was the one in February! Online dating/ dating apps were the last thing I wanted to do, but my friend (who was my maid of honor) and I made a Hinge account on her couch during a wine night and didn’t really think anything would happen.
How did he propose?
He proposed April 24, 2022 in Annapolis on the Naval Academy bridge. This was plan B. Plan A was a sunset proposal at Jonas Beach State Park in Annapolis, but the park ranger told us the park was closed and almost gave my MoH (who helped with the proposal) a parking ticket! I had a feeling the proposal was going to happen that day, and was trying not to work myself up!

Tell us about your say yes experience here at
Love & Lace!
I loved my experience at Love and Lace! I really appreciated the multiple sizes they had for girls who aren’t standard bridal sample sizes. I absolutely felt no pressure to purchase a gown. I knew I wanted to look, think on it, and then come back. I really felt like I looked beautiful in most of the dresses I tried on, and it was easy to say no to the ones I didn’t like. Maddie was a great consultant! It was a super fun experience!
What was your favorite moment on your wedding day?
It’s hard to pick a favorite moment. One was taking pictures with Mike after our ceremony. The weather was beautiful and I felt beautiful. Being outside with my husband and taking photos that we would treasure forever was really special. Second, I absolutely loved our reception! It was the BEST and everyone had so much fun dancing. I absolutely loved having fun and celebrating with all of our favorite people on the dance floor. I feel like walking down the aisle and our reception dancing are tied for favorites! I would do the day over again in a heart beat. I also loved getting ready with my bridesmaids. I truly believe I had the best group of girls and spending all day with them was so fun and so special.

What advice would you give to another bride?
Advice I would give to another bride is to do what you and your fiancé want to do. This day is all about you two. Don’t feel pressured to do all the traditional things- garter toss, bouquet toss, pausing everything to cut the cake. I didn’t want anything to stop the dancing. Take time to soak in each moment, pause throughout the day for a second to remember what’s going on around you. It truly does go by so fast.
