How did you two meet?
"We originally met in college in 2012. We dated for a little while in college and ended up going our separate ways. Six years later we reconnected over a video from The Weeknd concert that Andrew posted on Snapchat and we haven't stopped talking since..."
How did he propose?
"We went on our first vacation together in August 2021 at Corolla, NC. Andrew had planned a small sunset beach picnic and we brought our tripod to take photos. We were taking photos on various parts of the beach. We ended with the water behind us and Andrew was trying to distract me by saying there were dolphins in the water. When I didn't really turn around to see (I didn't believe him) he told me the flies were biting at his ankles and then got down on one knee. He did accidentally open the ring box towards him at first which we still laugh about now. We did the entire proposal on video thanks to our tripod!"
Tell us about your say YES! experience here at Love & Lace!
"I came to Love & Lace in March of 2022 and was so excited. I knew a few people who had bought dresses from Love & Lace, so I was hoping that day would be the day. I brought my MOH, my high school best friend. my mom, my mother in law and my two aunts. I was on a mission to spend no more than 1k on my dress which I knew was close to impossible. Everyone picked out their choice of dresses and Maddie picked out a few too (I'm pretty sure my top choices were chosen by Maddie). When I narrowed it down to the two dresses, it was such a hard decision but ultimately the dress I went home with I seemed to be glowing differently. The dress ended up actually being in my price range and was my exact size. It was also a discontinued style so now no one could ever be able to reorder my dress. It was absolutely perfect!"
What was your favorite moment on your wedding day?
"...Ooo that's hard there were a lot of favorite moments of the day. If I really have to narrow it down, it would be our last dance together that we had while everyone was getting ready for our sparkler send off. We chose one of our favorite Post Malone songs and sang and danced together to the entire song..."
What advice would you give to another bride?
"Make sure to enjoy the ENTIRE process from planning to the day of. I know I forgot to enjoy the small stuff and the steps of planning our biggest day together. Also, be prepared for your day to be over in 5 minutes. I didn't believe anyone when they said how fast 12 hours can fly. I enjoyed creating alone time for us to be able to enjoy our big day together without the distraction of our guests."
